A MAN has been charged with murder after a fatal shooting in a southwestern Sydney park.
HEDI Ayoub, 22, was found slumped against a tree on June 29 after being shot in broad daylight in a Punchbowl park.
A 22-year-old man was arrested on Wednesday in Wiley Park and has since been charged with murder.
He has been refused bail to appear at Burwood Local Court on Thursday.
Mr Ayoub, a body builder from Greenacre, was shot metres from a children's playground after he went to the park to meet people.
He was known to police, particularly for the people he associated with, and detectives were searching for three men seen fleeing the park after Mr Ayoub was shot.
