A MAN who ran over and killed his father at a Sydney cemetery will face a sentence hearing.
AFTER his father, 86, fell over following a visit to his mother's grave at Rookwood cemetery John Giannasca, 59, drove over him while behind the wheel of a Honda Accord.
He pleaded guilty in June to negligent driving occasioning death over the December 2014 incident, and is due to face a sentence hearing at Burwood Local Court on Tuesday.
Giannasca was in January 2012 found not guilty of killing his wife in 2002.
Carmel Giannasca's body has never been found and after almost a week of deliberations, a NSW Supreme Court jury returned a not guilty verdict for both the charge of murder and the alternate charge of manslaughter.
